Sentry Crash Report:

Description Benjamin Hennion 2022-09-11 14:10:48 UTC
SUMMARY
On Wayland, the virtual keyboard hides the panel (and in my case, the icon tray thereon), if the panel is on the right side of the screen (no issue if it's at the bottom or on the left).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put a panel vertical, on the right hand side of the screen.
2. Open the virtual keyboard.

OBSERVED RESULT
The keyboard overlaps with the panel, hiding it.

EXPECTED RESULT
The keyboard should not overlap with the panel (thus being slightly less wide).

Can confirm. See also the fix for right-side panel in Bug 440571.

Hi! I'm also on Wayland and using a vertical floating panel at the left of the screen and the maliit virtual keyboard doesn't overlap the panel but its rightmost edge of the window gets off the screen partially blocking the keyboard keys as reported on https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474910. I guess it's related to the same issue originally reported.
