This was already added in 2017, see https://commits.kde.org/kwidgetsaddons/6330036ac91f2fa3a8f7f0ad25f19e9f8f0c4448

If this does not work for you, I assume you have not installed all required fonts, or the distribution you are using does not offer a font with the bitcoin sign. In the latter case, please report this issue to the bug tracker of your distribution.
