Fade-out not working after dimming the Brightness

SUMMARY
Never had to report a bug quite until today, but I'm sure this is NOT intended behaviour.

NATURE OF BUG
Involves the Fade-out and Brightness effects. If the Brightness effect is not present or left at default settings, Fade-out works as intended. However, if Brightness is edited in ANY way, shape, or form, the Fade-out effect ceases to function.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Drag a video clip onto the timeline
2. Apply Fade-out and Brightness effect
3. Edit Brightness settings (primarily 'Intensity')

OBSERVED RESULT
Fade-out fails to occur as intended when Brightness settings are edited.

EXPECTED RESULT
Fade-out effect occurs as normal regardless of changes made to Brightness.

Thanks for your report!

I tested with version 22.08 and can not reproduce your problem. Please download the latest offical version from https://kdenlive.org/download and try again. Does it still happen? If so could you create a minimal example project to reproduce and attach the *.kdenlive file here?

Please remember to update the version of this report and set the status of this report back to REPORTED if it still happens with the latest version or otherwise close it as RESOLVED FIXED

Turns out that updating did it. (Off note, but little hard to stay caught up on updates when the application doesn't inform the end user about updates. But oh well, can't have everything)
