SUMMARY
If I select it incrimentally sends the selection to the clipboard. Instead of sending ith the selection to the clipboard when the selection is finished

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Enable Keep the selection and clipboard the same
2. Select text

OBSERVED RESULT
A bunch of entries.
Every new character selected adds a new entry with the previous characters selected. Like the image uploaded to this post


EXPECTED RESULT
One entry in the clipboard that encompess the entire selection

How exactly are you selecting the text? With the cursor? Or with the keyboard, e.g. by doing Shift+right arrow key a bunch of times?

Weird. Cannot reproduce.

When you say "Display Manager:  xWayland"

Does this mean you're in an X11 session, or a Wayland session?

it says graphics platform wayland

I am on Debian 12 RC2 with KDE Plasma and this happens to me too.

Here are some screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/mqYIQcA. This happen when I started selecting text using the mouse.

I was able to reproduce the reported behaviour, either by mouse or Shift + right arrow selection. 

OS: Fedora 40
Kernel: 6.9.5-200.fc40.x86_64
Resolution: 2560x1440
DE: Plasma 6.1
WM: kwin
Graphics Platform: Wayland
WM Theme: Breeze

Indeed. What are the applications from which you try to copy when this happens? Chromium-based browsers or something else?

Marking this a duplicate as I am pretty sure this is the same bug. If anybody feels that it is not, of course please unduplicate. This one is older but the other bug is a lot better described (this is specific to some applications, notably chromum web browsers, which make it pretty major for anybody using such a browser).
