I don't have anything against Kevin, I'm sure he's a great. However, his "web review" series is unrelated to KDE and has very general tech blog posts. It's also not really an article rather than a compilation of links (which don't really compile any KDE articles as far as I recall).

Don't get me wrong, I love hearing more about the lives and troubles of KDE developers that aren't strictly KDE and I believe Planet should always publish those (I remember an amazing post about hacking your own AC that someone wrote a while ago!). I just don't feel like a compilation of links is that type of post.

I wouldn't want him to remove his blog, it just would be great if he could post under the #KDE tag for kde-related news, that's all. The "web review" posts started on 2021 and it's all that has been published since then:

I also follow the blog posts every week and enjoy reading articles suggested in those posts. However, I see Momo's concern and I agree with that. We even have this in the README https://invent.kde.org/websites/planet-kde-org/#blogs-should-be-kde-themed. Exactly as Momo's suggestion, I think having KDE-related news under the tag #kde or something similar would be much better.

As for me and others who like those web review posts, I think we should subscribe to Kevin's blog itself, instead of through the Planet, if we want something regularly far away from KDE like that.

Speaking personally, I read a lot of the links in these posts and have learned and grown as a result of them. I feel like maybe we should go in the other direction and post more KDE content so that the blog isn't 100% non-KDE web links.

Yeah well, I wish I could post more KDE content but lately... well... life. I started this web review for two reasons:
 1. it's actually my coping strategy for the guilt of not finding the time to write more original content
 2. I see it as a service to the KDE community to get a chance to see what happens in other tech circles (I know very well how as a contributor we can tend to not be exposed much to trends outside our bubble).

At least from the comments here and emails I received during the past year (2) seems to be somewhat working I guess.

Ah also, for the record: I also got at least a yearly Akademy post and one KDE PIM Summary (should be later this year for both). Granted it's not much.
