Okular is almost the perfect universal reader. In my opinion, the only missing feature is a "reading bar" while viewing documents similar to Skim on OSX.

Its essentially a highlighted bar that is overlayed over the document and stays fixed as you scroll through the document. It acts like a pointer as you read, similar to how people read physical books with a pencil or a ruler to help with focus.

Sioyek offers something similar called a visual ruler where it highlights the text being read. The problem with their implementation is that depending on the document and how its formatted, the texts may not be highlightable; rendering the feature useless.

Can we have a reading bar implemented in Okular?
