SUMMARY
Using the kdenlive appimage on wayland leads to this:

symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libEGL_mesa.so.0: undefined symbol: wl_proxy_marshal_flags


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download latest nighly build (303 for me)
2. Launch inside a wayland session

OBSERVED RESULT
application crashes

EXPECTED RESULT
application doesn't crash

wayland support changed a lot since 3 years, I don't think this is valid anymore
