I realized that also panels *not* containing miniatures of the windows remain in the screen after being hidden. There is a massive warning next to enabling that option. Sorry I thought that the warning had another meaning. It is curious though that I only have that problem in the compositing with plasma panels and not with any other program, including Latte Dock. Anyways, have a good one. Cheers.
