(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:
Version:
Severity: normal
Installed from:
Compiler:
OS:
OS/Compiler notes:

If KMail crashes (still does happen
sometimes) or is killed (directly or
when X-server is) or otherwise exits
abnormally and is restarted the
outgoing-queue folder lists all of the
e-mails sent out during the previous
(before the abnormal exit) session.

Clicking on them quickly shows that
the entries are fake -- the subject
changes to "no subjects" other fields
are similarly reset to empty. This fake
e-mails can be safely deleted but
KMail will not send anything out until
they are.

Why can't kmail checkpoint the outgoing
queue when the e-mail is successfully
sent out so no mention is left anywhere
to confuse the next invocation?

I don't know, why this was closed -- there are no follow-ups by the developers. Is it supposed
to be fixed in some version? Because we are still suffering from it with 3.1.1a ...
