I have the same problem (although DrKonqi doesn't seem to pick it up for me) with the following setup: OS: Fedora 36 KDE Plasma: 5.25.4 KDE Frameworks: 5.96.0 Qt: 5.15.5 Kernel: 5.18.16-200.fc36.x86_64 Graphics: Wayland When, I launch kate from a terminal and open Settings -> Configure Kate... to cause the crash, I get the following output QSocketNotifier: Can only be used with threads started with QThread qt.qpa.wayland: Wayland does not support QWindow::requestActivate() KCrash: Application 'kate' crashing... The Wayland connection experienced a fatal error: Bad file descriptor *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 453234 *** |
