SUMMARY

Steam randomly hangs(unresponsive) on wayland when using nvidia gpu.
X11 - is fine
Wayland - hangs after staying open for some time
***


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Simply open steam and keep it on in the background for a while, even minimized to tray, open it and it'll have hanged, even the client itself just staying in the background still hangs.


OBSERVED RESULT
Steam randomly hanging

EXPECTED RESULT
To work as intentional without hanging as it wasn't present on 5.22.x/5.23.x/5.24.x
Problem started from 5.25.x

Potentially could be linked to this - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455913 as well as the application bar or other pop ups not opening as if they have hanged and just mashing them to open works.

A little update, it seems to happen only when a notification pop up comes and you're not playing a game(just staying in the desktop)

We have numerous nvidia + wayland issues that are upstream at this point. There is not much we can do at a kwin level at the current state.
