Update: So it turns out opening the menu with Meta opens it at the center of the screen, while clicking the menu icon with a mouse opens it attached to the panel but centered vertically on the screen. The expected position is in the top right corner, where the icon is. We had one other person report this in the past but I can't find that bug report now, and unfortunately I haven't the faintest clue what could possibly cause it. I saw a user having a similar issue on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/w3n30q/after_installing_some_custom_menus_kickoff/ So I checked if I have any custom menus installed, and it turned out that I have `~/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.kickoff`. I have no idea why it's there, but I deleted it, and the menu is back to normal now. |
