Change of behaviour

I work with split view most all the time. Before last update, i've just clicked any point in the file view outside the file/folder name  to select the view i wanted to work with. Now, i have to find an empty space in this view to click on, because clicking on any column get de folder/file opened

Don't think it's a bug, it's just a non-documented chnage  (saw changelog). Why have this changed?
