SUMMARY
In previous versions, when you locked the screen and would start typing the password, the characters you typed would all go into the password field. This was consistent with how SDDM worked and still works, creating a cohesive experience. In the new 5.24.90 version, the first typed character doesn't go to the password field, but just brings up the screen that contains the password field. This inconsistency between the login and the lock screen makes it easy for a user to mistype their password and second guess which procedure they should be using.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Lock screen, whether by shortcut or automatic timeout
2. Type a character

OBSERVED RESULT
First character typed doesn't go into password field, but only brings the screen to the prompt with the password field.

EXPECTED RESULT
First character typed goes into the password field, which should be made visible at the same time.
