Hi, I simply want to request a SBV format recognition feature (or transformation to the Kdenlive's subtitle supported formats). SBV is the Youtube subtitle format, that can be downloaded when Youtube automatically make a speech-to-text of your videos.

In commandline, this can be easily achieved using ffmpeg, in example:
 ---------> ffmepg -i captions.sbv captions.srt

I don't know how easily this can be added to kdenlive, but I think this is can be an easy one and will be very useful.

Thanks, bye!

Thanks for your report!

The *.sbv subtitle format will be supported in Kdenlive 22.08 (release in August 2022). If you want to test it already, please use the nightly builds.
