Description Lastique 2022-06-02 15:43:50 UTC
SUMMARY

Resizing System Monitor window resizes columns in the process list proportionally. There is no way to make columns extend beyond the window width, with a horizontal scroll bar. This makes it impossible to have a column with a full command line that extends beyond the right edge of the window, or to have multiple columns that are by default beyond the right edge of the window, accessible by scrolling the window right.

This also makes it impossible to maintain fixed column sizes as you resize the System Monitor window to fit in your current window configuration (e.g. in a tiled window configuration).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Resize System Monitor window horizontally and watch the column widths in the process list.

OBSERVED RESULT

Columns are resized proportionally to the System Monitor window width.

EXPECTED RESULT

Columns should maintain constant width. If they don't fit in the window width, there should appear a horizontal scroll bar.
