STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. starting latte dock via bash
2. right after the dock appears: right click to switch to edit
3. menu appaers for a moment
4. right click to switch to edit again
5. crash

OBSERVED RESULT
message in bash
 xdg_wm_base@102: error 3: xdg_surface must not have a buffer at creation


EXPECTED RESULT
switch to edit mode
