Description Petr N. 2022-05-23 12:19:16 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right click whisker menu button on the taskbar right in KDE, i mean button under which are accessible programs, search. click the Edit applications. Switch to other opened tab of other application, like web browser. Now repeat the action to open the KDE Menu Editor. It does nothing, it does not make the already opened window focus to foreground, not show any error message or open another instance. Actually i would prefer to open new instance as current one i am editing one of the program details.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 11 + KDE Plasma 5.20.5 (5.78.0 framework), qt 5.15.2, kernel 5.15.0.0bpo3

Already fixed for KMenuEdit in Plasma 5.25.

In general this needs a fix for each individual app, so in the future please file a bug report on the app in question. If it affects multiple apps, file multiple bug reports. :) If it affects a non-KDE app, you'll need to report it to them.

As a basic user i am unsure which other app than KMenuEdit do you mean in this case.
If you have some tip on how to easily discover it in future (even for other KDE apps issues), i will try to follow the advice.

Oops, that was intended for a different bug report, sorry. You did the right thing here.
