Sentry Crash Report:

Description Lastique 2022-05-16 17:14:16 UTC
SUMMARY

When adding a System Monitor applet on a panel, in Text Only presentation mode, the applet displays sensors from the "Sensors" field, not "Text-Only Sensors". As a result, the applet draws unnecessary color bar at the left of the sensor legend. This is also counter-intuitive, as one would expect the Text Only applet to show Text-Only sources.

I would prefer to remove the colored bar and, optionally, the legend itself. I can leave the legend empty, but the colored bar remains.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Add a System Monitor applet on a horizontal panel. For example, Network Speed applet.
2. Switch the applet to the Text Only mode.
3. Remove the sensors from the "Sensors" field and add them to "Text-Only Sensors".

OBSERVED RESULT

The applet does not display anything.

EXPECTED RESULT

The applet should display text-only data.

Alternatively, there should be an option to remove the colored bar on the left.
