SUMMARY

When we enter the user interface, when clicking on the "edit" option, the menu goes completely to the right, and when clicking on another option, it returns to normal.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter the program
2. Click on "edit" option
3. Clicking another option makes it back to normal

OBSERVED RESULT
When clicking on "edit" the menu moves to the right

EXPECTED RESULT
When clicking on "edit" the menu should stay in the same place

With "edit" you mean the Edit menu between "File" and "View" menu, right?

It would be helpful to see a screenshot or screen record of your problem to understand it better.

Also please give some more information about your setup. The best way to do this would be to go inside Kdenlive to "Help" > "Copy Debug Information" and paste the content here.

As a vague suspicion I may say that this could be a Wayland issue.
