Thanks for your report! With "edit" you mean the Edit menu between "File" and "View" menu, right? It would be helpful to see a screenshot or screen record of your problem to understand it better. Also please give some more information about your setup. The best way to do this would be to go inside Kdenlive to "Help" > "Copy Debug Information" and paste the content here. As a vague suspicion I may say that this could be a Wayland issue.
