That feature has been available for a very long time, Settings -> Configure Konversation -> Behaviour -> General Behaviour [x] Enable System Tray. In addition you can also configure konversation to mark the taskbar entry for certain events, e.g. a highlight, which makes this visible without needing a tray icon. I have tested it. Konversation does in deed show a tray icon with these settings. However if you close the main window the program will terminate. If there is already a tray icon there could be an option 'stay active if the window is closed'. Thx anyway for pointing me at the right settings configuration dialogue. (In reply to Elmar Stellnberger (AT/K) from comment #2) > I have tested it. Konversation does in deed show a tray icon with these > settings. However if you close the main window the program will terminate. Not reproducible, here when I quit the app when systray is enabled there is even a dialogue specifically telling me that konversation will keep running in the systray, and it does that, as expected. |
