SUMMARY

The only way to peek at virtual desktops from within the overview is by first switching to them, re-opening the overview and switching back. Being able to preview the other desktops would be great.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the overview
2. Hover over one of the thumbnails at the top

OBSERVED RESULT

Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT

A preview shows, whether it be a tooltip (like when hovering over icons in the task manager) or something else.

Yes, hovering should be incorporated for a better overall user experience. Right now the only other way I know of switching the workspace is by gestures on Wayland using a touchpad.

If this is a beginner friendly bug, I'd be happy to try and fix it (will need some guidance though)
