STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. While in kmail, click on New Message
2. Note that there is no transport option shown
3. Now not able to select non-default transport

OBSERVED RESULT
No transport option

EXPECTED RESULT
Allow to choose a transport

My other computer configured the same but transport option appears on new message.

composer->view-> check "mail transport"

composer -> view   doesn't exit
only general, standard templates, custom templates, subject, charset, headers, attachments, auto correction and auto resize image.

In the composer window, not in KMail settings.

Found it.
New message -> view -> mail transport
Thanks for a push in the general direction
