I had a dream 2 nights ago and after discussing it i think it's worth publishing it:

I use kde3.01 on Suse linux and I often use more than one icon/kdelnk on my desktop for the same app or for the same thing to do but each icon/kdelnk contains different options or apps for the same thing to do. To explain it clearly i use Mozilla as example: Mozilla has many commandline oiptions for mail composer profiles etc. If you use 3 different profiles and you wanna have mozilla-send-a-mail directly available via Desktop you need already four(4!) Icons for one app.
This could be prevented by putting these Options in the kdelnk file so one can tell kde via the context-menu of the icon which profile to open or to open the mail-composer directly.
So one could hide all (or at least a desired couple of them) in the kdelnk file and open them via the contex-menu.
One Icon could even swallow more than one app. An icon could be a container of complete Work-profiles with all apps needed for ...lets say manipulating Images on the fly with different apps simply by rightclicking on the context-menu and choosing the aproprieate app or you can hide network-work in one icon - lets say all ssh connections to other servers can be grouped under one icon - opening the right one by choosing it in the context-menu.

Well that was my dream and i think it could be real.

for now i have to go back to work again but i keep an eye on what you say/do with my dream.
