When I turn on "direction" for the "elliptical Dab Angle" of the elliptical brush, an extra dab always appears when I start the brush
 (its direction is the “base value” of the "elliptical Dab Angle")

I suspect that the "drawing angle" sensor is the problem, even in krita's own brush engine it behaves a bit strangely. I'll discuss it with the artists in the forum first.

Hi, thank you for your report.

I can confirm with the Krita Version: 5.2.0-prealpha (git 5c98a72) Appimage with Qt 5.15.7

We had this with the pixel brush engine too, but it was solved inside the engine...
