SUMMARY
My laptop wouldn't wake up or show anything after I opened the lid.  It was on Wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put laptop to sleep
2. Wake it up the next day

OBSERVED RESULT
Opening the lid or pressing the power button doesn't do anything.

EXPECTED RESULT
Lock screen should appear as soon as the lid is open.

I didn't get to check if it woke up or the display wasn't working because I was at work, and was in a rush.

Does this happen on X11 too, or just Wayland?

Happening to me as well on 5.24.5 Wayland.
Also, it seems like this bug will only be triggered if the laptop screen is turned off, either by PowerDevil or by the user, before the system goes into sleep. Manually putting the system into sleep from the desktop won't trigger it.

I can reproduce this, sort of. If the display was turned off before going to sleep it stays off after waking - but moving the mouse or pressing a key still wakes it. Is it the same for you, or is the system completely unresponsive?

After a key press, the system will resume from sleep, but shows only a black screen.
