Description Till Schäfer 2022-05-02 13:44:23 UTC
The replacement of korgac does no longer support the direct editing of an event from the reminder popup. I propose to re-implement this previous feature.

I believe when clicking on the event text (not on the icon) it will send you to the event in korganizer.

highlighted event in Korganzer

I still think that an edit button would make things easier.

First, simply having an edit button is a one click solution, while the current solution would be to click the notification, and editing the event in a second step.

Second, there are some issues, that are more Korganizer related, which make the "Edit the highlighted event in Korganizer" step cumbersome:
* The highlighted event is barely visible to me. Can you see the highlighted event in the attached screenshot? For me that is only visible if multiple entries from the same calendar are next to each other. In this case I can see a slight color difference in direct comparison.
* The details view (left part of the screenshot), which shows event details does not have an edit functionality as well.
To conclude: I now have to search the event (e.g. in the agenda view) which matches the details view. This requires a significant amount of cognitive overhead in order to edit it.

I'm not sure if it is the same bug, but since yesterdays update to 22.04.1 there does not appear anymore the notification window where I can edit, postpone etc. calendar entries. What I get instead is a small notification popup-window that only shows time and name of the entry but does not offer any options for editing. That is imho a big regression. I'd propose to at least offer an button that opens calendar entry, better would be it opens the old notification window where I can postpone the notification.

I experienced the same issue when upgrading within my distribution.
As neither here nor in the many duplicates I see any progress to a solution,
I've set up a discussion about possible workarounds to which I invite anybody
