In first place, excuse me for posting this under the Plasma addons category but I havent been able to find Klipper's. Please reorder it as it's correct.

Currently (Plasma 5.24, KF 5.92), if one wants to paste a text from the clipboard to an editor, one has to open Klipper, click on the item desired, go to the editor and paste it.
It would be more convenient just dragging the text into the editor window and run. And the same with images and graphic editors.

Tested in Plasma 6 beta. Following works in a wayland session.

1. Drag Text to Editor
2. Drag Video to dolphin (move here, copy here menu opened.
3. Drag test to dolphin (paste clipboard contents dialog opened)
4. Drag video to kdenlive timeline

Following doesn't working
1. Dragging a Image
2. No visual indication of drag.

Can confirm. Looks like a lot has changed since the last time I triaged this bugzilla ticket!

In addition, dragging an image works for me too. Well, mostly. When I copy an image *file*, dragging it elsewhere works as expected. When I copy image *data* to the clipboard and then drag it elsewhere, things don't go as well: dragging to Dolphin does nothing, while dragging to the desktop produces an empty Media Frame widget.

We should split this out into multiple specific bug reports to track the remaining issues.

- Image data dragged Dolphin: Bug 478583
- Image data dragged to desktop: Bug 478584
- No visual feedback when dragging stuff: Bug 478586
