STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.open configure latte preferences 
2. in action turn on press meta to activate application launcher
3. press apply

OBSERVED RESULT
it does not save the option 

EXPECTED RESULT
it saves the option and activates application launcher

it does work in my system so we need a concrete way of steps to reproduce
