here is the problem:

$ flatpak update

Hmm, I don't know who created a Flatpak Trojita package but it was not me and I don't know who made it either. Is it based on this <https://invent.kde.org/packaging/flatpak-kde-applications/-/blob/master/org.kde.trojita.json>? If so, it seems that most/all other applications in that repository, like <https://invent.kde.org/packaging/flatpak-kde-applications/-/blob/master/org.kde.dolphin.json> and <https://invent.kde.org/packaging/flatpak-kde-applications/-/blob/master/org.kde.kalendar.json>, all suffer from the same problem (if I understand the specification file correctly, which I'm not sure about).

I am closing this bug because trojita is no longer available from the flathub repository, but only from beta or development repositories:

$ flatpak install org.kde.trojita 
Looking for matches…
Remotes found with refs similar to ‘org.kde.trojita’:

   1) ‘flathub-beta’ (system)
   2) ‘kdeapps’ (system)

and the flatpak from kdeapps is up to date:
