Description fake.name 2022-04-02 21:51:11 UTC
SUMMARY
***
After most recent kwin update, apps which contain scrolling, like web browsers, music players, etc. have a tendency to cause screen tears whenever scrolling is performed. This varies in frequency, from *always*, with firefox, to rarely, with audacious.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Scroll down a page on your web browser
2. Observe the screen tears as you go.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Arch 250-4-2, on Zen kernel 5.17.1
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The position of the tear seems to pass through the median point of the scrollbar.

X11 or Wayland? If X11, is compositing enabled?
