Created attachment 147893 [details] screenshot STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. use Wayland session 2. open Kate 3. activate 'keep above other windows' feature for Kate window 4. open Spectacle 5. choose 'Rectangular region' in 'Area' combobox 6. click on 'Take a new screenshot' button OBSERVED RESULT overlay to select a rectangular region appears, the screen is dimmed except Kate. Please see the attached screenshot.
