I'm not convinced this is really a problem, or that there is a good solution for it. If we hid the plus button in the toolbar when the view is empty, then we'd have UI elements being unstable, appearing and disappearing according to the context. Some people hate that. If we removed the "add new" button in the placeholder message, we'd be making it harder to figure out how to add a new device, since the plus button in the toolbar is icons-only. We could maybe replace the button with a subtitle that says, "click the plus button in the toolbar to add a new device" as the kaccounts and firewall KCMs does, but this feels a bit awkward to me. Open to suggestions. Yeah I don't think this is a problem as well OK, closing. :) |
