Maybe, but maybe not. Elias, does this affect all screens, or only one? If it's only one, then it's probably the same as Bug 353975.

> Elias, does this affect all screens, or only one?

It did affect all screens, so it is not a duplicate. However the issue is no more since I recreated my user account. Seems there was a problem with some config or cache. I now created a new user and set up most of my stuff again and it still works. (Well, despite of some graphical glichtes, but it is not black anymore.)

I'm sorry to tell you that I forgot to take a backup of the old users dotfiles. (Didn't really think that this would fix it, was just about resetting my user anyway.) So we can't figure out what exactly caused the problem :/

I will mark this as resolved for now. Will see if the problem comes up again after more configuration.

Reopen if the issue comes back.

The symptoms indicate not a KWin issue, but rather the age-old Plasma multiscreen containment loss issue, which has been fixed for Plasma 5.27.
