STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Adding the Edge Crop effect as a master effect or to the track - does not work.
Adding the Edge Crop effect directly to the clip is fine.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Xubuntu 20.04.4 LTS

I guess this is just an unfortunate phrasing , so you mean the effect has no effect? At least *adding* to master or track works for me. Nevertheless the effect produced no effect in those cases also for me

ADDITION
Edge Crop also doesn't produce any effect on mlt-clips.

PS: Changed title of bug report accordingly. Shall I also bump Version? I'm on v 22.08.1 already. Same problem plus my addition.

   Hello! Sorry I didn't answer right away. I am sending you a project in
   which this problem is repeated. The effect applied to track 1 does not
   work. The effect applied directly to the clip on track 2 works. It
