Arch Linux, Plasma 5.24.3, xorg session

Latte Docks is set to 'Dodge all Windows'. Sometimes, seemingly completely randomly, there reamins a blinking line when the dock auto-hides.

no idea, change the product to kwin and kwin trinagles will point it eventually

OK, I have found out that the 'Background contrast' desktop effect causes this. Turning this off fixes the problem.

I recall seeing such damage tracking issues a while back, but they have been fixed at some point and I can't reproduce any with auto hide panels in Plasma 6
