Oh, additionally I should mention: I'd like if the hotkeys for launching applications by shortcut focus on "first to last". By that I mean: Default left to right sorting = Meta+1 runs left-most application. Right to left sorting = Meta+1 runs right-most application. Latte is fully RTL compatible if you are using an RTL language. You can use instead if you want: "latte-dock -reverse" from cmd show me what you are trying to achieve in a screenshot. You can use Justify alignment if you want Latte Tasks at the right. You probably need to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOYkGfksraI Created attachment 147543 [details]
New Task behaviour examples
The Latte Tasks widget is already on the right. My problem is how it sorts its own applications, not its position. I'm already using the Justify alignment to put it on the right.
Attached should show you what I mean. New tasks appear on the left instead of right, and the "first" application (for purposes of the Meta+1 default shortcut) is on the right. Notice how Bitwarden is on the right edge instead of left edge now.
This can be done with the Icons-Only Task Manager, but not with Latte Tasks.
Just in case if these clarifications are needed: I am using Latte Tasks on Latte Dock in panel mode. I'd prefer not to use the regular plasma panel with the Icons-Only Task Manager because having two dynamically resizing widgets (the task manager and Global Menu) results in a brief annoying graphical bug whenever the global menu resizes. (not to mention several other irrelevant benefits of latte dock) (In reply to Deliphin11 from comment #5) > Just in case if these clarifications are needed: > I am using Latte Tasks on Latte Dock in panel mode. > I'd prefer not to use the regular plasma panel with the Icons-Only Task > Manager because having two dynamically resizing widgets (the task manager > and Global Menu) results in a brief annoying graphical bug whenever the > global menu resizes. (not to mention several other irrelevant benefits of > latte dock) You probably need to switch to plasma icon-only, any solution in Latte side would interfere with plenty of things so this is not simple to solve and at the same time dont break plenty of things in Latte. |
