STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login to Wayland Session
2. Change Mouse Acceleration Profile

OBSERVED RESULT
No change. Cursor uses a default acceleration curve. Acceleration cannot be turned off with Flat profile option. Pointer speed cannot be changed with slider.

EXPECTED RESULT
Flat profile turns off acceleration while adaptive profile turns it on. Pointer speed is adjusted with the slider.

Are you by any chance changing the wrong mouse? Which mouse are you changing the settings for? There may be more than one listed in the combobox on top

Well this is embarrassing... You're are absolutely right. I never noticed the drop down menu in Wayland!

Happy to help. :) You're not the first one. Out of curiosity, what other things appeared in the combobox? How many mice do you actually have plugged in? Dies it list devices that aren't actually mice?

Yes it does actually. So it lists my mouse as "Wings Tech Xtrfy M42" (Xtrfy M42 is the correct name) but it also lists "Wings Tech Xtrfy M42 Keyboard" and "SONiX USB Device" (which is the one it defaults to) and neither of those seem to affect anything. The only usb devices plugged in are my mouse, keyboard and mic. I assume "SONiX USB Device" is my mic but I don't see it listed that way in any audio interfaces so I don't know where that's coming from.

That is definitely super weird and confusing, and I can confirm the issue. Can you file a new bug report about it? We should definitely fix that.
