Latte does not activate applications with its own code, it uses plasma libtaskmanager to do so: https://github.com/KDE/plasma-workspace/tree/master/libtaskmanager nonetheless, because I know that there is a lot of discussion about this in Garuda, I will leave it open in order to collect information in case we can find the faulter at some point. 1. Use latte default layout with cmd: latte-dock --default-layout ,does it freeze when launching gtk applications? Yes, I've done that before and it freezes just the same. I've also just now tried is as you said in the command line and again same issue. Sorry, But I just figured that its not a bug with latte. I was trying out various things and finally tried to launch Firefox/Thunderbird over terminal along with other Applications and that causes the same result. Its just latte-dock allows to quickly open multiple apps whereas launching with KRunner or manual launches are much slower and masks the issue. This made it seems as if it was a latte issue.
