1) All my previously configured desktop effects are broken. Unable to restore them in "system settings". 

Among them are: present windows, switch between windows, switch between desktops, ....

2) Yesterday the "screen edge" feature did not work. (I set the upper left corner to present windows.) 

Today this effect does happen, but it is impossible to select a window by mouse clicking on it, or to close it  by clicking the red X. The only responsive action is to press "esc" which exists the mode.  

3) Some of these features actually disrupt my work routine. To the extent that I regret unstalling 5.24, and would be happier with 5.22 again...

Is there a safe way to downgrade to plasma 5.22 ?

I now have *plasme 5.24.2* but the bugs above are still present. 

Any idea when these will be fixed?

This report is quite old, there have been a lot of changes in the meantime. Can you reopen if the bug still persists with Plasma 6.4 or newer.
