Description Aleix Pol 2022-02-22 00:43:57 UTC
There is the concept of distribution information in Neon. Discover has started to make use of it to notify users about EOL in their distro as well as to tell about the existance of newer versions.

For neon we already have a mechanism that notifies about the latter, it would make sense to have the information so there's more than just another new version of your OS.

$ appstreamcli os-info
Unable to find operating system component 'org.kde.neon.neon'!

Thank you for your bug report!
However this bug report was created/provided previous to 01/01/2023 and also has not received any updates since before 01/01/2025.
Unfortunately KDE neon no longer provides updates for anything older than noble 24.04 based edition's.
Please upgrade to KDE neon noble and if you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report.
Thanks for understanding!
