OBSERVED RESULT
kdenlive crashes after producing the render file

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect the render dialog box to stay open and allow me to clean up and continue to work within Kdenlive

Windows: 
macOS: 
Linux/KDE Plasma: ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS 64 bit
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION  MLT 7.4.0..... Kdenlive was installed with snap.. Unbuntu Gnome ver 3.36.8.....Using render setting MP4 H264/AAC

That could be a snap-pak issue. Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 21.21.2 to see if there are any packaging issues https://kdenlive.org/en/download/

First of all thank you for your quick response.

Second rendering from AppImage did WORK... Success, Kdenlive did not crash 
and the MP4 output file played perfectly.

I am not a Linux expert, but my son is proficient in it.  I used to use 
Adobe Premier Pro, but since using Linux and Kdenlive,  I won't go back to 
Windows and Adobe..

Thank you for the feedback and contribution. Glad to hear it works. 

This looks like a Snap-pack packaging issue. Maybe your son can connect the distributor and ask for a fix.
