Description Riccardo Robecchi 2022-02-18 11:03:07 UTC
SUMMARY
Setting Overview as the effect to launch when I swipe from one of the sides. Other effects, such as "present windows" and "desktop grid" work perfectly well.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set "Overview" as the effect to start when swiping in from one side.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens.

EXPECTED RESULT
The effect is correctly started.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: KDE neon
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have tried this on a Dell Venue 11 Pro 7140 with X11.

Works for me in the Wayland session. Screen Edges in general are pretty broken on X11 and it's almost impossible to fix there, so I guess there's not much we can do here.
Comment 2 Riccardo Robecchi 2022-02-20 15:47:57 UTC
Reopening as I can't trigger it in Wayland either.
Comment 3 Zamundaaa 2022-02-21 01:58:19 UTC
Do you have the effect enabled in "desktop effects"? It's still disabled by default
Comment 4 Riccardo Robecchi 2022-02-21 08:51:55 UTC
Yes, it is enabled. I can activate it using the hot corners.
Comment 5 Riccardo Robecchi 2023-03-18 11:45:46 UTC
This appears to be now fixed, thanks!
