SUMMARY
KRunner doesn't close after application/command/entry is clicked or selected.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Type anything that returns a result in krunner, e.g. "konsole"
2. Press enter or select entry
3. Konsole will open, krunner stays open

OBSERVED RESULT
KRunner stays open, does not close after entry is selected.

EXPECTED RESULT
KRunner should close when entry is selected.

Hello,
I tried to reproduce this is issue but Krunner just gets closed automatically as expected.
I tested in Wayland and x11.

Operating System: Kubuntu 21.10
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.13.0-28-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 630

What you mean with pinned?
Pinned to the task manager?
Yes I'm using non icon task manager and Konsole pinned.

Oops, yes I did. I hadn't noticed that feature before and must have selected it by accident somehow.

I am wondering if people accidentally pinning KRunner could be due to the (weird) behavior that the buttons are focused first when tabbing through the results. 🤔

I never had this problem. Actually I never pin any window. :)

That's probably what happened in my case.
