I'm unable to replicate this issue, can you please test and confirm if the issue still occurs for you? But now that some time has passed, I can tell you that the issue has disappeared and reappeared a couple of times since I opened the bug report so it might not even be a bug in Spectacle. Is there any way I could provide any further info? Setting back to reported as the user confirmed the issue still occurs. Is this still a problem with 23.04 and onward? Significant code changes have happened. I think this probably wasn't a Spectacle issue. Spectacle doesn't decide what the thumbnail should look like, except for setting the URL of the screenshot which is then used by something else to get the thumbnail. I'm not sure which product to move it to. It could even be a problem from outside of KDE for all we know. I did encounter this issue very recently, but I'm 99% certain that was a system configuration related issue that was solved by rolling back my system to an earlier snapshot. I can confirm this is still happening. In both x11 and Wayland. At the moment, these are the relevant versions on my laptop: Spectacle Version 23.08.3 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.112.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 Kernel Version: 6.6.2-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Can you check if the issue goes away with clipboard setting "Non-text selection" set as "Only when explicitly copied"? Created attachment 146888 [details] thumbnail missing in notification When taking screenshots through Spectacle keybindings, the notification has no thumbnail. Tested with Rectangular region, Active monitor and Active window STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Take a screenshot with any of the Spectacle keybindings OBSERVED RESULT Screenshot is taken, notification appears but is missing the thumbnail EXPECTED RESULT Notification should show a thumbnail of the screenshot.
