That's extremely strange, and I cannot reproduce the issue. Are you saying that the text field is not focused by default? It is supposed to be. 1. Is it fixed in Plasma 5.24.1? 2. Do you have any non-default input methods applied? 3. Does work if you temporarily switch to English? The bar was not focused when I opened the application. I don't know what you mean by input method, but I had nothing special. The language didn't change anything, and neither did the focus settings. That indicates that there was a packaging problem with 5.24 that caused the relevant commit to not be included. I guess it got fixed for 5.24.1 |
Created attachment 146661 [details] Demonstration video SUMMARY When you start Discover, when you use the keyboard without having focused on the search bar (top right), you see in the bar only the last letter pressed on the keyboard. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Open Discover. Write something with the keyboard. OBSERVED RESULT The search bar shows the last letter pressed on the keyboard, not the whole text. Everything works correctly as soon as you take the focus of the bar. EXPECTED RESULT A search bar that works...
