SUMMARY

Notification do not work for the command line utility nordvpn under Wayland. It works under X11 ***


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
No idea how to reproduce this if you do not have a subscription to nordvpn but the command line utility
   can be downloaded from their website. 
1. You are not connected to a VPN
2. open a konsole and type nordvpn connect

OBSERVED RESULT
Under X11 I get a notification that I am connected to the VPN server, under Wayland I get no notification. 
Same for disconnecting if you are already connected to a VPN server.

Does running "kdialog --passivepopup Hello" work on Wayland?

that is what nordvpn seems to call to create notifications, and it works find on Wayland for both of us. Since I can't look into what exactly nordvpn is doing I'm afraid I can't really do anything more

I asked nordvpn for help, let's see what they say.
