stacktrace from systemd-coredump
After this just happened again I found a hopefully related and helpful stacktrace in my journal.
This was on an ArchLinux with all packages up to date (except the kernel):
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.15.8-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-8705G CPU @ 3.10GHz
Memory: 15,4 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 630
I developed this issue after installing Kernel 17.1, but can't nail down what changed. I also tried to fix it by obtaining a current linux-firmware package 20220314.gitcd01f857-0ubuntu2 . I could not return to when I didn't have this issue on booting older kernels either. That may be unnecessary info, but below is what I do see. My kwin_wayland goes to 100%, but no keyboard or mouse input is available. If I remotely login, I can kill kwin_wayland and regain mouse movement and keyboard input but have to restart things of course. I also tried to restart SDDM another time by remote login using systemctl, but I didn't get much further than a black screen after login. Operating System: Kubuntu 21.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.17.1-051701-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Active Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 530 Created attachment 148010 [details]
