Screenshot of gaussian blur on a paint layer in a group layer
Could you please check this screenshot, whether I have tried correctly to reproduce your issue? I doesn't show anything weird for me...
Oh, and maybe also attach the kra file that shows this issue? Created attachment 146833 [details]

If you take a closer look at your blurred circle you will notice small cuts on the top and left.
You're right! Thanks for checking! I can reproduce the issue running krita-x64-5.3.0-prealpha-703c3eae on Windows 10, with the steps as described in the original report. The attched example file also still shows the buggy behavior in this version. To emphasize, the step of adding the filter layer to the group seems to be essential for reproduction. Moving it out of the group results in the desired behavior. *** Bug 489548 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |

Use Gaussian Blur filter with maximum blur value OBSERVED RESULT The blurred shape looks as if it was cut by square EXPECTED RESULT Entire shape blurred without cut edges. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Attached in file ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The behaviour is observed on portable version
