If we did that, the text would disappear if you uses a light colored or white background. No can do, sorry. After some testing, I ended up upgrading to plasma 5.24, and now the drop shadow is very small when using the light theme, but the same as before with the dark theme. I do not know if this is intentional, but then shouldnt the text be not visible when using a light background in light mode, which is very common That sounds like something different from what you originally reported, which means it should be in a new bug report. Can you please file one? In that new bug report, can you please attach two screenshots, one that shows the state with each affected color scheme? That way we can see and compare the two. |

It looks out of place with the rest of the UI (especially with the default plasma wallpaper). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Lock your screen. 2. Wait until password dialog disappears. 3. Observe the date and time text.
